WHERE DID YOU TAKE THE NAME OF JESUS TODAY?

Where did you take the name of Jesus today?
Did you take Him to your job?
Did you take Him with you to hang out after work?
Was He sitting at your table?
Did you mention His name?
Would you be embarrassed to show His name to the world?
I wonder.

People around the world take photos of their hometown newspapers and Flat Stanley. These things are done as evidence that you were there, or you are thinking of someone.

Would YOU lift the name of Jesus in the same manner?

Say 'I am not ashamed' by sending your photos to

"I will praise you, O Lord, with all of my heart:..
I will sing praise to your name, O Most High."
Psalm 9:1-2

I took Jesus to Walmart today. I ventured in after a long day of work with a positive attitude. I smiled at the co-worker who had the same after-work mission as I did. I smiled at the woman who almost ran into the back of me because I paused in the aisle. I smiled at the mother who was frazzled because her little girl had just taken all the toothbrushes off the shelf. I smiled at those who didn't speak English. I smiled at the pregnant women. I smiled at the babies. I smiled at the police officer shopping in uniform with his tiny baby in her carrier in the cart. I smiled at the little boy who threw a ball over the aisles and almost hit me. I politely said excuse me every time I almost had a buggy collision. I made the wait in line more bearable by making faces at the little girl in front of me. I said thank you to the cashier and left Walmart one hour after I walked in. The sun was shining and I had a smile on my face. I took Jesus to Walmart today.

I took Jesus to Publix today! After grabbing a cart I stopped by the Ladies room. It only took a nano- second for me to realize that the employee at the mirror was sobbing. As quickly as she wiped her eyes, more tears flowed.

I asked, "Are you OK?"She blurted out "No, a customer accused me of being rude and I wasn't being rude." I empathized by sharing that I am a crier, also. She then told her story of how a customer was upset because there were not enough chocolate cupcakes for her daughters birthday tomorrow. (As I listened all I could think was 'What? When did mothers decide baking cupcakes for their child's birthday was too time consuming?')

I joked with her, saying that she could have suggested the mother go home and turn on the oven! Of course the employee couldn't see any humor at the moment and said "I have to fix this. But it wasn't my fault that we didn't have the number of cupcakes that she wanted." I listened for a few minutes to her as she tried to stop the tears.

I encouraged her and stayed with her until she was ready to face the world again. As we walked out of the Ladies room together she thanked me for my kindness. I was in the right place at the right time. He's an 'On Time God'!
